Kinnection – Edition 6 – December 2019

December – despite the colder weather and the almighty dash to the end of the year, it is one of my favourite months.  It means time off from travelling (ie driving), weekends off, enjoying time together with my family as everyone is coming to Westport this year; and a chance to reflect on the past year. Since it’s also the end of a decade, it can be a bit daunting to look back and realise just how fast 10 years goes. But also fun to wonder what might be ahead for us all in the 2020’s.

Kinnection – Edition 5 – December 2018

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and plenty of health and wellness in 2019

It’s been a full year of travel, learning, growth, moves, and of course the growing excitement of the upcoming fresh start energy that comes at this time of year. We’ve had a wonderful year as Class of 2018 graduated, Class of 2019 got underway, post graduate workshops with Metabolics, and Balanced Health courses took place throughout the country.

Kinnection – Edition 4 – June 2018

I can’t quite believe that the last edition of Kinnection was in December 2016! Eek, my bad.  It’s not that we’ve had nothing to say, so hopefully you did receive emails throughout the year and saw updates via our Facebook Page. Systematic Kinesiology is continuing to grow, so I’ll start with a review of 2017, and share what we have planned for 2018.  We hope to see you at some of our upcoming trainings, and events, and as always would love to see you if you’re ever visiting Westport!  Our Kinesiology Community is growing and we are extremely grateful for any and all social media shares that so many of you do, so THANK YOU!

Kinnection – Edition 3 – December 2016

It’s been ever so cold this November and December so far but thankfully dry.  This time last year there were storms and flooding so it’s a relief to have such nice weather.  Christmas is a wonderful time of year when we celebrate faith, family, and the tradition of giving gifts.  And with that often comes stress.  We hope you’ve enjoyed some of our light-hearted posts on Facebook when #Elf came to my clinic.  Thanks everyone who shared them too!

It’s not always easy to appreciate just how far we come in a year. So a good practice is to spend 30 minutes going back and taking stock! Our daily activities can become special memories we’ll treasure in the future.  I like to start with a chronological, month by month approach – I literally get my calendar and look back at the highlights, the successes celebrated and the learnings we can gain.  Read our Review of 2016, various articles, new upcoming courses, and other dates for 2017.

Kinnection – 2nd edition September 2016

Hello and a warm welcome to Autumn 2016.  It’s been a busy year, juggling many different projects. So after a wonderful T.A.C.T. workshop and in the spirit of self-care, I’m enjoying a 10-day break in New York.  I’ve not been here at this time of year for a few years and it’s been HOT!  They’re funny though as they talk about it getting “chilly” as it reduces down to 20.  Saying that it gets VERY cold here in the winter so they know about extreme temperatures.

Travel is a great way to experience “difference”.  And New York is a city of contrasts.  They’re so positive, yet there are many many problems.  Shootings, protests, and visible poverty living side by side with positivity, inspiration, and visible wealth.

So while this is a break, it’s hard to get away 100% though as life is connecting us all via our smartphones!  This weekend we had our Dublin group commence their Balanced Health Course, and they’re all inspired by what they learned.

We’ve some other courses coming up too, and I’m really excited by what Gemma McGowan is putting together about supporting mums and their new babies.  She’s come up with a way to inform and educate health care practitioners about infant health, which can impact the rest of their life.  Check it out on page 6.

So all that is left for me to say, is have a wonderful last few months of 2016.

Kinnection – Welcome to our latest newsletter – first edition April 2016

Hello and a warm welcome to Spring 2016.   Happy Easter!  I wanted to start the year off with a new newsletter and finally it’s finished! The Kinnection – a fitting title for our brand new Newsletter.  I believe we’re all inextricably connected, not just through Systematic Kinesiology but through our love of people, our desire to help others, and compassion.  Kinnection reminds us that everything is connected and that is demonstrated by our MCPE, fully integrated healthcare approach.

AND of course, this is a way to keep us, as an extended community over the past 16 years connected via updates, news, Kinesiology tips, and articles.
