About Pam McMinn

In my mid 20s, I was fit but unhealthy. I over-exercised and my nutrition was dreadful. I was living on sugar, coffee, Lucozade and I paid no attention at all to the quality of the food I was eating.

In the space of a few short months, I went from working full-time as a manager of a health club, exercising every day, to injuring my back, having chest and throat infections, followed by several courses of antibiotics and extreme fatigue. I could hardly get out of bed and was off sick from work for 4 months. It is fair to say I was completely burnt out. After months of investigations with hospital consultants I was diagnosed with ME/Chronic Fatigue and told to there was nothing they could do; I had to accept it, rest and understand that I might never get back to full-time work or recover. I felt completely lost, scared and hopeless.

When I went into my workplace to tell my boss I needed more time off, someone gave me the phone number of a kinesiologist. I hadn’t a clue what it was but I immediately booked an appointment. After my first visit, I felt hopeful for the first time in months, within days I started to feel alive again. With simple changes to my diet and some supplements I was back on my feet and within 2 weeks I was back to work part-time. After my second visit with her I was back to work full-time, in just 4 weeks.

This was the start of a deep healing journey, uncovering things about myself that I didn’t know existed. I started to care about myself, my health, I exercised less and my nutrition drastically improved. I continued to see my kinesiologist regularly and my health has been great ever since.

This experience had given me the gift of empathy and compassion with my own clients.

For 13 years I owned a ladies-only gym and during this time if I had a particular member who I couldn’t help with nutrition and lifestyle coaching I always advised them to see my kinesiologist. In 2019, my kinesiologist retired and I no longer had somewhere to advise people to go to, so I made the decision that it was time to get back to studying and start training myself.

In March 2020 I started the Balanced Health Course and completely fell in love with Systematic Kinesiology and I wanted to learn more. I completed the Diploma and graduated in October 2021, and then completed my training as a KinesiologyZone™ Balanced Health Course Leader.

I absolutely love what I do. I have a busy practice in Holywood, Co Down and I am ever so grateful that I am truly living my life’s purpose and passion. My client’s results are amazing and every day I am blown away by how the body works and how much kinesiology can help people on a healing journey. As the saying goes, find a job you love and you will never work a day in your life. Many of my students have been inspired to become practitioners too.
