About Ann McCarren

My journey into the Alternative Medicine field started while I was working in the Finance Industry.  I was diagnosed as a Coeliac in my early twenties, and was very aware and appreciative of the challenges this presents to all Coeliac’s and people living with a food sensitivity. This diagnosis was followed by a further diagnosis of severe Endometriosis, and later on, I had multiple miscarriages. I embraced these health challenges and sought health and well-being through various complementary therapies.  I’ve always been amazed at the body’s ability to heal when guided and supported in a natural way.  Deep down I knew that I was not on my life path, and in 2009 I made the decision to leave my corporate finance career and I embarked on a amazing journey that has brought me to where I am today.

I firstly trained as a Nutritional Therapist with The College of Naturopathic Nutrition in Dublin, set up my practice at home, and found it very rewarding, achieving great results with clients.  However I felt that nutrition alone wasn’t sufficient to bring about a deeper level of well-being and I yearned to be able to offer a more ‘whole-person’ approach to clients.

Having experienced various complementary therapies, I had quite a knowledge of what was available but never experienced Kinesiology – and came across it accidentally while doing research into alternative therapies.  I arranged to have a number of treatments in the various types of Kinesiology, and knew immediately after the first treatment in Systematically Kinesiology that this was the one for me, as it works on the whole person – body, mind and the electrical field.  In addition I found that Nutritional Therapy complemented Systematic Kinesiology!  Although financially this was a big commitment to train further, I saw this as the motivation to take on a full time job to cover the cost of the training, while completing my studies simultaneously.  When you have your vision, and your goal to achieve – you will make it work!

I now practice as a full-time Kinesiologist and I am the Course Leader for KinesiologyZone delivering the Balanced Health Programme in the Cavan & Monaghan region each Autumn & Spring.  I am also a qualified Biomagnetic Therapist, and I'm currently venturing into the field of Animal Therapy.

Ann is so full of fun, very kind and encouraging. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about Kinesiology and has you loving it by the end of the course and realising how valuable the Balance Health Course is.

Ann is a great advocate for Kinesiology and will certainly introduce more Systematic Kinesiologists to the area I believe.
