Special two-day workshop on Resolving Leaky Gut for healthcare practitioners

with Alison Astill-Smith of Metabolics

Siobhan attended this (one day) seminar back in February 2016 and was blown away by the depth of material, knowledge, and understanding that Alison shared.  We felt that this would be a great two-day training for graduates, so as well as the seminar we wanted to ensure plenty of time to workshop and consolidate all the information.  Alison presented this back in November 2016 and we are delighted to be running it again as part of our “Diploma training” as well as a post graduate CPD weekend.

Alison says about her one-day seminar, “This seminar is born out of my own personal experience with fibromyalgia and progressive joint pain. My pain was so severe that with a family history of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis I was pretty sure I had early onset RA. Although blood tests showed no RA, subsequent tests showed elevated thyroid antibodies.

One of my daughters was also complaining of disturbing symptoms of dizziness and excruciating pain after any exercise at age 14.

After extensive research, I began to explore the relationship between gluten and autoimmunity. By removing all gluten from our diets both of us are now completely symptom-free. This seminar condenses my weeks of research in this area into a single day and covers all factors than associated with a “leaky gut” and gluten’s relationship with autoimmune responses.”

From a Kinesiology perspective, our work with the digestive system and the gut cannot be underestimated.  So much can be improved for our clients simply by focussing on balancing and healing the gut.
