It is said that “you don’t grow your business, your business grows you”.
And over the years I’ve found this to be true. Any time I’ve wanted to expand what I do, I’ve had to dig deep and get real about myself. Some of my insecurities have lead me to the most exciting and enjoyable experiences, meant I’ve met life long friends, and challenged me in ways I never expected.
I’ve always been interested in the basics in business, learning, and refining.
Asking myself, How can I more clearly say what I want to say, how does my message inspire another, whether it’s a potential client or student, and that has lead me to invest in coaching and mentors over the years, who have help me see a bigger vision for myself and Systematic Kinesiology.
Anytime you decide “to go for it”, or your circumstances change, or perhaps the world changes, it gives you an opportunity to see things afresh. And when C19 hit, and it’s aftermath, it gives us a chance to get real again – there’s always a new level.
So when you start to delve into the topic of business and marketing it’s easy to get stuck before we even start, because Everything. Seems. Important. It’s your Message, your Target Audience, Ideal Customer, Branding, Marketing styles, picking a Niche, developing a Website, Selling, Social media channels, a funnel or even multiple Funnels, Ebooks, Videos, and, and, ……
It is all too easy for it to become heavy, pressured, and exhausting. We also bring the pressure ourselves, since we have unexamined beliefs and opinions around selling, being in business, and around money.
I’m not a marketing guru, but for the last 20+ years I’ve run a business and successfully paid the bills and a bit more. And if I’ve learned one thing, it’s that there is no one right way to do business. This is both freeing and frustrating. Because if there was one right way, it’d be a matter of just tell me what to do and I’ll do it that way. And it’s freeing because since there IS no one right way, it means it’s ok to do something that’s authentic to you, reflects what’s important to you, and find your path by responding to what shows up with your clients.
We already know that generic health advice is inaccurate | so is generic business advice.
This year has been wake up call in so many ways. It’s highlighted vulnerabilities in how we work – no one ever imagined a time when we wouldn’t be allowed to work. I love what I do, and to continue to do that, and to get what I love out into the world, and to help more people, I need to be able to do marketing and sales.
This 3 class workshop will be both an exploration of the basics, getting clarity on your message (class 1) | what’s holding you back from getting out there, our insecurities (class 2)| and working on your own specific path to a business you want (class 3).
You have to get specific about you, your clients, and your offerings. What we’re able to do with Systematic Kinesiology is even more needed now.
